Estancia La Bravera was founded by Jorge and Ivonne, between 1988-1990, when they decided to buy a piece of land in Mérida, between Jají and La Azulita, and build a house to vacation with their family.

We are very proud to say that we are part of the Circuit of Excellence, an association of inns and lodges focused on providing the highest quality accommodations and customer service in Venezuela.

Here you ca book your accommodation with us. We have 8 rooms and two family cabins for our guests.

Estancia La Bravera is principally known for bird watching, especially hummingbirds. Tourists, especially foreigners, have visited our lodge over the years to find very specific types of birds. There is also trekking, milking cows, and Mérida city tours among other things.

How to get
here?

We recommend coming to Mérida by plane. The closest airports are: Mérida Airport and El Vigía Airport. We communicate with the city of Mérida and with El Vigía by a road, mostly paved. From the city of Mérida it is 1 hour and 20 minutes and from El Vigía it is a little less than 2 hours by car. Although the road is mostly paved, we recommend coming by truck, not a regular car, however, it does not have to be a 4x4. We can also help you arrange the transfer from Mérida or from El Vigía to the lodge. However, if you prefer not to take a plane and come in your own car, you must consider the current gas shortages on the road and in the city of Mérida.
